Central Locking Motor Replacement
You'll notice that a problem exists when the horn sounds once you try to lock your car. If all doors and hoods are closed correctly, all turn signals and lights being off, then the problem is may be a locking motors U/S. I checked it by locking the door with the key, then trying to open with the remote control. One door opened, the defect one stayed locked.
The job is easy and will take about 2 hours. (The part price 04/2008 is 81€) First go to this page to remove the door panel: [1]
When this is done, remove the plastic from the bottom of the door, and roll it to the top. It will stick up there by itself.
The motor is located in the door's lower aft corner:
Before removing the motor, we will have to remove a plastic cover held in position by 2 small screws.(sorry for the picture quality)
When that cover is removed, you'll get access to a connecting rod wich goes from the motor to a part above. Disconnect the rod from the part above by pushing towards the outside of the door. It will easily pop out of it's "ball joint".
To remove the motor, first remove the "psychedelic green" cable holder from the door, then remove the 2 bolts
then disconnect the electric connection by just pulling the plug, and that's what you should get (ATTENTION: on the picture, the connectiong rod is already removed from the motor. You'll have to do it to set the rod on the new motor
Good luck
